Tank Gauge Terms
Conductor pipe – The pipe that is suspended from the tank top.
Indicator – The display that shows the tank level in inches.
Pressure Transducer – The sensor inside the gauge that measures the back pressure.
Pump Cutout – An optional contact that can be used to shut off the fill pump when the gauge reaches a certain level.
Sensing Line – ¼” tubing that connects the tank gauge to the conductor pipe.
Tank Sticking – Using a stick to measure the level from the bottom of a tank.
